Cromane Beach
Cromane is one of the few locations in Kerry where there is a 360-degree view of the Brandon Mountain Range, the Sliabh Mis Mountains and MacGillycuddy's Reeks.
For a Sauna in Cromane Co. Kerry, travelling from Killorglin head out the Ring of Kerry road N70 , Follow sign for Cromane for 8km. Turn right at church, the strand is on your left after Jacks Bar & Restaurant and the Boathouse Cafe. Travel time 15mins.
Travelling from Killarney head west on the N72 to Killorglin and follow above to Cromane. Travel time 35mins.
Cronin’s Yard
For over 300 years Cronin’s Yard has been used as the traditional starting point for ascents of Ireland’s highest mountain, Carrauntoohil, Situated at the entrance to the Hag’s Glen at Mealis, Beaufort, this is the gateway to the MacGillycuddy’s Reeks and the ideal base from which to explore the surrounding countryside.
For a Sauna in the MacGillicuddys’s Reeks / Reeks District at Cronins Yard, travelling from Killarney take the N72 (Ring of Kerry road) towards Killorglin. After Fossa Village, turn left for the Gap of Dunloe. Continue on this road for approximately 8km until you come to Kissane’s Shop and Maxol Service Station. Go over a small bridge and take the next left (signposted for Cronin’s Yard and Tea Room, Carrauntoohil). Proceed to the end of this road, approximately 3km to Cronin’s Yard. Travel time 30mins.
